Excellent customer service from Jason Molinaro. He responded almost immediately to my request, walked me through the process and what to expect and kept me informed throughout the process. Due to the drive failure and the manual nature of the work needed to recover, it was pricey, but they were able to recover all the data. I recommend to others in need of recovery services.

A few months ago, I tried to boot up an old external hard drive so I could look at photos of me and my brother from years ago when we were just kids and couldn’t get the hard drive to mount. I purchased some expensive software a lot of people recommended online, Disk Warrior, but that didn’t work. I then brought it to two local IT support shops specializing in data recovery and, once again, had no luck. These shops, however, recommended I reach out to the best in the business if I really wanted the best shot at recovering my data, and so that’s how I came across Secure Data Recovery. I mailed them my 1 TB external drive and within the week they had received the package and quickly diagnosed the issue, a mechanical failure (this was an older drive with a disc rather than a solid state / flash storage), and contacted me immediately to let me know they felt very confident they could recover all of the data on my drive. That must have been the best email I’ve ever received. They felt confident they could recover my entire photo library from my middle and high school years and, with it, all of the photos of me and my brother. I was ecstatic!I quickly logged into my account so I could fill out the authorization form and payment, and then I realized I couldn’t afford the recovery service. It’s not that it’s particularly expensive, but I’m unemployed and have been since my brother died last year, so I didn’t know what to do . I called my representative, Eric, and explained the situation and he said he would talk to his manager and see what he could do. I’ll admit, he didn’t sound particularly confident in the price I said I could afford, but he said he would try and that’s just what he did. A day or two later I hear back from Eric and am over the moon after hearing the good news. He said that the technicians would work on my hard drive when/if things were a little slow and in their spare time and that it would take longer than normal, a few weeks to finish the data recovery process working on it only part-time, but that they could meet me at the price I requested. This was definitely not something I expected them to be able to do but I am extremely grateful for the kindness they showed at a time when I really needed it. Thank you so much, Eric and co.

They worked inside my budget and recovered all the data I was after from a phone that had stopped working.
