I accidentally dropped my external hard drive and didn''t think anything of it. When I plugged it in the next day, it didn''t mount on my desktop. I tried everything and was unable to access it. They sent a final email with the outcome that I had to sign before they completed the recovery. It was all very smooth and easy. The communication and customer service along the way was top notch.In the end, I got 99.57% of my files back. My drive had a damaged head AND motor, which is a severe case. Took them three weeks and they recovered 344,256 files out of 345,742. It doesn''t normally take three weeks but because mine was a severe case, they had to send it out of state. They ended up waiving my delivery fee and it was sent directly to my house, In a very secure package that I had to sign for.When I opened the files, they were perfect. There''s a file that says DAMAGED, which contained those files. Then everything else looked normal. It was simple and organized and exactly what I was hoping for.I would recommend this company a thousand times over. I was delighted with my experience in file recovery. Of course, all my files were recovered. Moreover, the job was done quicker than expected. However, beyond that, my personal experience was actually enjoyable, not something I expected at all. I am of the age such that I am more comfortable with radios that use vacuum tubes and not transistors, much less computer chips. Everything was explained in detail if ways I could understand. Excellent service in all regards. I was able to recover quite a bit of lost JPEGs, PSD, TIFF, etc. from a badly damaged USB external drive. I had a few questions and they answered all of them patiently and professionally, even though they have probably gone through the same routine thousands of times. They delivered on everything promised - which is why they''re getting five stars from me. My original filenames and directory structures were preserved in the recovery which I told them was the single most important factor in recovery. The work was done on time and at every step they did excellent followup. They also provided me with a financing company (Affirm) and I got a pretty good deal so I could pay for this.The cost is ouch and d''oh, but worth it. But I will avoid having to use this service again, I promise, by backing up my own data!
